Reviewed October 2, 2026.

To import machinery or industrial supplies from China into Vietnam: import duty is calculated on the CIF value. Import VAT is 10%. Vietnam has a trade agreement with China (ASEAN–China FTA, RCEP), so many goods enter at reduced or zero duty with a certificate of origin. Key conformity requirement: QCVN (for regulated products). Machines must be configured for the local grid: 220/380 V, 50 Hz.
