Is it safe to buy industrial machinery from China?
Yes, if you control five things: verify the factory, fix the specification in writing including your voltage, frequency and certifications, pay the balance only after a factory acceptance test you can watch, insist on export crating, and agree spare parts and after-sales support before you order. Most problems buyers report come from skipping one of these steps.
- Wrong voltage or frequency: machines for China's grid run at 50 Hz; many markets use 60 Hz.
- Missing certifications: CE, UL/CSA, NR-12, SABER or SONCAP must be in the quote, not added later.
- No after-sales support: get a spare parts kit, wear parts list and support terms in writing.
- Payment fraud: pay only to an account in the same company name as the business license.
