Will the machine meet my country's safety and electrical code?

By I&R Group, Jiaxing. Reviewed October 3, 2026.

Only if you specify the code before production: guarding, emergency stops, interlocks and electrical standards differ by market (CE/EN in the EU, NFPA 79 and UL in the US, NR-12 in Brazil). A factory can build to these, but it has to be in the order and checked on the factory acceptance test. Retrofitting safety after arrival is costly and can delay commissioning.

  • State the safety and electrical code in the order.
  • Guarding, e-stops and interlocks are built in, not added later.
  • Verify the safety features on the factory acceptance test.
