How long does a custom machine take to build?

A standard machine runs about 25 to 45 working days; a customized machine or a complete line is usually 45 to 60 or more, because of tooling, special components and the factory acceptance test. Add sea freight of roughly three to seven weeks and customs clearance. Lock the specification early, since late changes reset the production clock.
